Capable of both killing and torture. ✖ BACKGROUND: Tess comes from a world overrun by people infected with the Cordyceps Brain Infection, a fungus which controls its host and causes them to become violent and murderous. She survived for the past twenty years in what can only be called a post-apocalyptic world, where most most of humanity clings to life in isolated Quarantine Zones operated under martial law and simmering with growing dissent among the citizens. She learned to adapt to this new way of life and became a resident of the Boston QZ, one of the last places not completely overrun by infected. She made her living as a smuggler, bringing supplies- pills, liquor, ammunition- into the QZ using a mix of stealth, intimidation, and violence. After one of her associates flipped on her, she and her partner ended tangled up with a group of revolutionaries, resulting in them becoming responsible for the safety of a girl who is immune to the infection. ✖ CHARACTER ASSESSMENT: Quick, ruthless, and clever, Tess is capable of impressive feats of violence, seemingly without remorse. Twenty years of ascribing to a kill or be killed sensibility has left her with the willingness to do almost anything to survive. While this includes both the aforementioned violence, it also infers her more social behaviors as well. Tess is capable of shifting between different personas - hard, violent and untouchable, or friendly, likable and flirtatious depending on what the situation calls for; she is comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life. That said, while she can be quite charming when the need calls for it, Tess is typically more abrasive and stand-offish by default - especially with those she doesn't trust or intend to use for her own gain. ✖ ( VIEW FULL PROFILE )
