Her aptitude test ranked her high enough in 13 different ministries and 6 companies. She was thrust into her first mission shortly after enlisting, and was able to save the life of the first victim of the case she was investigating and the life of her fellow detective at the same time. Not much was revealed regarding Akane's past. Her family life had been a stable one, and she has a particular attachment to her grandmother.
