✖ BACKGROUND:
Miller is Japanese-American despite appearances, born in post-WW2 Japan; the illegitimate child of an American soldier and a Japanese woman. Moved to America to attend college with the help of his father, who committed suicide when Miller returned to Japan to care for his terminally ill mother. Employed with the JSDF (“Japan Self-Defense Forces”) until shortly after her death. Roamed as a mercenary in South America, was persuaded to partner with Big Boss despite reservations and opposite allegiances. Co-founded private military force MSF (“Militaires Sans Frontières”) as second-in-command. Status of MSF unknown following ambush and fire-bombing of offshore base.
✖ CHARACTER ASSESSMENT:
Professional demeanour, easy-going and amiable. Talkative and knowledgeable. Inherently selfish, unless extraneous circumstances arise (emergency, close partnership). Loyal but pursues any means to further self-interest. Greedy for information, companionship. Known philanderer and flirt. Occasionally prone to short bursts of immaturity, i.e. inappropriate behaviour. {Note: binge alcoholic?}
