Proficient in hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship (firearms and specialized shield). ✖ BACKGROUND: Born in Brooklyn, NY and subject of Project Rebirth, an SSR experiment to manufacture super soldiers for the Allied forces in WWII. After the assassination of the serum's creator, the project was shut down and Steve Rogers became involved with the USO. While on tour in Italy, Rogers proved his worth as a soldier by sneaking behind enemy lines and freeing Allied prisoners from a HYDRA facility. Was given the name and title Captain America. Thought to have died crashing the HYDRA Valkyrie into Arctic waters in 1945, his body was found preserved in the ice almost 70 years later and revived by SHIELD.
