Competitive swimmer. ✖ BACKGROUND: The most recent in a long line of magic users, Chase Collins was adopted as a toddler and grew up with no knowledge of the legacy he'd inherited. He suddenly developed the ability to use magic at the age of thirteen, but because he did not understand the self-destructive nature of his powers (which would kill him by aging him at a hyper-accelerated rate with too much use), he attempted to master them through practice and over time became heavily addicted to them. This led to a massive downward spiral when he turned eighteen and the negative aspects of his powers manifested in full, resulting in the death of his adoptive parents, his birth father, at least one classmate and the attempted murder of several others. ✖ CHARACTER ASSESSMENT: In a word, unstable. Collins is erratic, violent and completely dependent on the drug-like effects of using his specific brand of magic to function. He is selfish, vindictive and manipulative: he generally puts on a show of being friendly and outgoing, but lacks genuine empathy. While intelligent and resourceful, his recklessness and addiction to using magic have both gotten in the way of him accomplishing his goals in the past. However, what he lacks in self-control he makes up for with enthusiasm, the absence of scruples, and sheer raw power. Could be very useful to the CDC, with the right guidance. ✖ ( VIEW FULL PROFILE )
